The most recent research done on this phenomenon came from the Canadian-Russian team. The team was trying to figure out the exact mechanism that made people able to levitate, and they had a lot of interesting suggestions that no one had thought of, including the fact that the levitating chair doesn’t have legs sticking out into the air like a table does.

The poverty rate relies on an annual snapshot from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey which tracks what households need to buy food to reach a basic living standard. While the U.S. Census Bureau reports the median household incomes of about 2.1 million people, many other organizations track similar household incomes and so use the median estimate from that income survey. As a result, some people might see a different poverty rate when the median household income is actually higher than the Census Bureau reports.
